Pramata is led by a seasoned team of directors with a unique blend of finance and legal experience, technology industry expertise, and a proven track record of guiding high growth companies. 

 

Joy Lindsay, Director

Joy Lindsay is President and Co-founder of StarTec Investments, LLC, a private venture capital firm focused on early stage companies. Prior to founding StarTec, Lindsay was a Senior Vice President in the Westlaw division of West Group (now Thomson West) and actively involved in the sale (and the subsequent transition) of West Publishing to the Thomson Corporation for $3.45 billion. Ms. Lindsay has served as Secretary and Vice-President of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association, is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Minnesota, and is a member of the Investment Committee for the St. Paul Capital Fund. She participates on the planning committee for the annual Minnesota Venture Finance Conference and has served on a Technology Transfer Advisory Council at the University of Minnesota. She has a B.A. in mathematics from Carleton College and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota.

 

Christian Misvaer, Director

Mr. Misvaer co-founded Pramata in early 2005 and serves as its President of Customer Operations responsible for Business Development and Marketing, as well as its general corporate strategy. With over 10 years of technology industry experience, Misvaer has worked on a wide variety of strategic, global activities — from legal process management to sales/marketing and delivery.

Prior to founding Pramata, Mr. Misvaer was the General Counsel and Secretary of Intelligroup, Inc., a leading provider of global outsourcing services in support of enterprise applications. In this role, he was responsible for managing legal operations across the US, Europe and Asia, as well as acting as secretary to the Board of Directors. Mr. Misvaer also held various executive and legal roles with Firepond, Inc. where he was responsible for a major business unit with operations in the US and Europe. Mr. Misvaer holds bachelor degrees in International Relations and History from American University and a Juris Doctor from Hamline University.

 

Steven J. Morgenthal, Director

Mr. Morgenthal has been an Operating Partner with Argosy Private Equity since 2007, where he is responsible for evaluating potential investments, performing due diligence, and working with portfolio companies to grow shareholder value through improved strategic planning and operational effectiveness. Prior to joining Argosy, Mr. Morgenthal was a venture partner with SCP Private Equity Partners and was CEO and a board member for multiple SCP portfolio companies. Prior to his involvement with SCP, Mr. Morgenthal was a senior executive with a number of private and public companies, including Unified Systems Solutions, a diversified information technology firm which he co-founded, managed as COO, and successfully sold to Computer Horizons. Mr. Morgenthal earned a Master's of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from Pace University.

 

Steve Phillips, Director

Stephen Phillips has more than 30 years of corporate legal and litigation experience working with some of the world's leading companies. Mr. Phillips currently serves as Special Counsel to Medtronic, Inc. Before its acquisition by Medtronic, he was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sofamor Danek Group, Inc., a manufacturer of spinal implants and cranial navigation systems used in neurosurgery. Mr. Phillips was also a senior partner and member of the executive committee of Pepper Hamilton LLP. He serves on the Board of eReaserch Technology, Inc. and the Advisory Boards of several privately-held companies.

 

Praful Saklani, Director

Mr. Saklani co-founded Pramata in early 2005 and serves as its President of Delivery Operations, responsible for Engineering and Operations, as well as general corporate strategy. A management veteran of three startup companies, Mr. Saklani brings a strong track record of entrepreneurial success and management experience, with a specific focus on developing high-technology companies that deliver enterprise process solutions to large corporate customers.

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yatra Corporation, he focused on using artificial intelligence techniques and internet technology to optimize travel management processes. There he was instrumental in raising venture funding, culminating with the successful acquisition of Yatra. Prior to Yatra, Mr. Saklani was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the consulting firm Invotech Systems, where he was responsible for developing Invotech's Groupware and Intranet practice. Mr. Saklani also served as a key executive with WaterHealth International, an IFC and UC-Berkeley supported social start-up focused on bringing affordable drinking water purification solutions to developing countries. He graduated from Swarthmore College, where he received High Honors in Economics and Political Science.
